Step 3: Download the Praxis App and Register

We utilize the Praxis Sports App for all scheduling and communications during the season. It is crucial to stay updated and to inform us of your child’s availability.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: We have a very large waitlist for Summer Skills Camp. Please make sure you are marking your availability for each week in Praxis so we can make sure we can invite additional participants if space is available!

Step 4: Make Sure You Are Ready For Camp! Read These VERY Important Notes

SCHEDULE: Parents should drop their kids off at camp at the field between 8:30 a.m.-9 a.m. each day at which point participants should check in at our attendance table (which will be located in front of the bleachers at the field) prior to joining their groups and specific coach on the field. Parents should pick their kids up from camp at the field between 12:30 p.m.-12:45 p.m. each day.

PRAXIS GROUP ALERTS/WEATHER: We have created a Praxis group for our Summer Skills Camp to send out any specific alerts regarding heat cancellations, weather, etc. If significant rain, storms, or extreme heat hit, we will cancel camp for the day or end early as we are not allowed to have camp inside the building.

SNACKS: Each day we order fruit, granola bars, and ice to make sure we have snacks and cold water for the kids. If you are able to help in this way, please speak with the attendance table about which day you can assist and what items you will be covering for the day.

PARTICIPATION: As a small organization that does not charge fees for camp or programs, we are extremely limited in our staffing and resources. We have an extensive list of youth who are interested in our programming who we have waitlisted to this point because we have a maximum number of kids we can work with at one time. With that in mind, we want to be extremely clear and up front about the fact that this is a soccer and enrichment camp not a daycare program. We expect complete focus, commitment and engagement from our participants and our staff will be focused on delivering valuable programming on and off the field. Please communicate with your child that if they are not engaging in programming and participating, we will ask you to not bring them to camp in future weeks, and will offer their spot to another child who is on our long waitlist.

BRING WATER BOTTLES + SOCCER BALLS EACH DAY: It will be hot! There will be fountains at the field to fill out water bottles-MAKE SURE your child has a water bottle to bring each day so they can stay hydrated. Additionally, we ask all student-athletes to bring a soccer ball to camp each day.

Step 5: Consider Supporting Open Goal Project Summer Skills Camp With A Donation

While we do not charge any participants, our camp does come with significant costs. We encourage families to contribute if they are able to - at any level -to allow our organization to grow and scale. No donation amount is too small!

To ensure the growth and sustainability of Open Goal Project and our Summer Skills Camp in the coming years, we encourage all families who are able to make a contribution of their choosing by clicking this link:

Step 6: Consider Volunteering With Open Goal Project

At Open Goal Project, we are always in need of volunteers to support administrative elements, as well as with community events and fundraising for our organization.

Please complete this volunteer interest form if you are interested in and available assisting in some way:
